What has happened

The record so far.

  • The domain tacitsource.com was registered, 2026-09-11.
  • Tacit Source was ruled as its own company, holding the software, the registry and the count, separate from Even Steven — the hand still signs with Even Steven only.
  • The count interface and the release interface are built and tested against each other, with fixtures both sides reproduce identically.
  • The intent to publish the interface as an open specification — same terms to any maker, including one owned by this same group — is ruled.
What has not happened

Said plainly, because the alternative is a page that quietly outgrows the truth.

  • No licence between Even Steven and Tacit Source is drafted. Nothing has moved from one company to the other under contract.
  • No way of working has been licensed onward to a maker, a kit company or a fleet owner. The registry described on this site has no entries in it yet.
  • No recorded capture session exists anywhere in the family this company is part of. There is nothing in the corpus to license.
  • The patent allocation between Tacit Source, Steady Eddie and Even Steven is not decided.
  • Whether the operating corpus will be built as a selection (attribution preserved) or a blend (attribution lost) has not been tested or ruled.
  • The interface specification is not public. It is held back until counsel has the patent particulars and a recipient has signed an NDA.
  • Tacit Source is not yet confirmed clear of a similarly-named existing Canadian company in the same field of work.
